Neutral, Structured Therapy for Court Accountability and Care
Fulfilling Requirements, Fostering Healing:
Professional Support for Legal and Court-Recommended Transitions.
Navigating the family or criminal court systems can be an incredibly overwhelming experience. When judges, lawyers, or child welfare agencies recommend or mandate therapeutic intervention, it is not just about legal compliance, it is an opportunity to break reactive cycles and build a safer, more stable future for yourself and your loved ones.

Our Court-Recommended Services
Family Reunification Therapy (FRT): highly structured, progressive intervention designed to repair fractured parental bonds. Whether addressing parent-child estrangement, parental alienation, or reintegration after a prolonged separation, these sessions focus on safely restoring trust and emotional security outside of the courtroom.
Anger Management & Emotional Regulation: A practical, skills-based program focused on identifying triggers, de-escalating physiological stress responses, and breaking destructive, reactive communication cycles. Clients learn actionable coping mechanisms to maintain accountability and handle interpersonal conflict constructively.
Parenting Psychoeducation: Specialized guidance for parents navigating high-conflict separations, divorce, or complex family changes. This psychoeducational framework focuses on the developmental impacts of conflict on children, establishing healthy boundaries, and creating collaborative, child-centered co-parenting strategies.
Partner Assault Response (PAR) Component: Specialized individual therapy designed to address power, control, and accountability within relationship dynamics. Please note: While I provide private PAR-informed counselling to help individuals deeply examine beliefs, address anger awareness, and learn non-abusive conflict resolution, clients mandated specifically to the subsidized 12-week Ministry-funded group program must verify with their legal counsel or probation officer if private clinical equivalents fulfill their exact court conditions.
Progress Tracking and Documentation
I understand that documentation is a critical component of court-recommended therapies. For clients requiring proof of attendance and engagement for legal proceedings:

Letters of Attendance:
Provided upon completion of the psychoeducational curriculum to confirm enrollment and ongoing participation in therapy.

Progress Summaries:
Objective, clinical summaries detailing the number of sessions completed and the therapeutic topics addressed.

Neutral Reporting:
All documentation remains strictly clinical, factual, and neutral, focusing on your engagement in the therapeutic process without taking legal stances on your court case.
Scope of Practice & Legal Disclaimer
Polaris Counselling provides court-recommended therapeutic interventions, and Fatemeh Heshmati operates strictly as a neutral clinician. I do not conduct formal custody and access assessments (Section 30 assessments), forensic evaluations, or provide legal recommendations for ongoing litigation. Our focus is entirely on clinical healing, behavioral accountability, and the psychological well-being of the family system.
